I AM Yoga Class Descriptions

 

You can purchase a pass online or in the studio.  Our new software has an easy online portal and you can easily create an account using the button below.  We have yoga mats to rent for $1 and the rest of the yoga props needed for a class are complimentary. 

Our studio is kept between 77-80 degrees all year round (except for the Fire Flow Classes - see details below).

VINYASA YOGA CLASSES

Vinyasa Yoga means to "place in a special way" and is also often referred to as Flow Yoga Classes. It is a physical practice that is built in steps to provide an opportunity for the body to prepare itself for the progressing postures. Much of the postures (asanas) taught are connected to the breath and are linked from one posture to another so that each person can transition easily while staying present and attentive to the body.  Expect to heat the body, stretch and meditate.

GENTLE FLOW YOGA

Join us for a 1-hour Gentle Flow Yoga class that is designed to provide a safe, effective, compassionate, self-reflective environment that is welcoming to all. This yoga class offers a softer, nurturing, slow-paced gentle vinyasa yoga practice followed with a sequence of restorative and relaxing postures using bolsters, blankets and blocks. Perfect for seniors, pregnant women, injuries or those seeking low intensity movement.

BEGINNERS YOGA CLASSES

New to yoga? We have a class designed specifically for you. This 60-minute breath-based yoga class helps each student understand the mechanics of a yoga class and deepen their connection with their bodies. Using basic movements, breathing and meditation, this class works to provide simple ways to add yoga to your life.

FIRE FLOW YOGA

(STUDIO HEATED TO 85 DEGREES)

Our newest class coming to the schedule in May is our new power yoga class with the studio heated to 85-ish degrees. Expect to get warm, strengthen your body and increase your flexibility with our freshly designed format. this is a more advanced level and will include arm balances, deeper twists, binds and inversions. Some yoga experience is recommended.
